NH COSH 2010 Annual Dinner (October 19):


At this year’s annual members dinner meeting, the newly elected NH COSH Executive Board Chair, Louise Anne Hannan [on the right] awards new board member, Karla Armenti, [on the left] the NH COSH Achievement Award for her continued oversight of occupational health surveillance in New Hampshire with them is Dennis Martino [center] who stepped down as board chair after many years of service.

The Excellence Award was presented to Attorney Terrence J. Daley for actively advocating for workers rights and going the “extra mile” for workers.

The Seventh Ed Eagan Award was presented to Paula Martel, president of ASFCME Local 2715 for her continue advocacy for the safety and health of the staff at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home against some great challenges.

George Kilens, from the Concord OSHA office, was the main speaker at the Annual Dinner Meeting. George gave a PowerPoint presentation of the new way in which OSHA is aggressively inspecting and fining employers for repeat workplace safety and health violations.

2010 Workers Memorial Day (April 27, 2010):

NH COSH - 2010 Worker's Memorial Day gathering.

NH COSH Director opens the evening activities for Worker's Memorial Day with a story to remember a fellow work who was killed on the job.

Marthe Kent, Regional Administrator, of the Boston Regional COSH  Office.

Marthe Kent, Regional Administrator, of the Boston Regional Office speaking at the recent Worker's Day Memorial commemorative event to remember those workers who lost their lives on the job in 2009 and the many more who were injured, some for live. Marthe spoke about the 40th anniversary of the OSH Act and the updates needed to bring this standard into the 21st century.

Reflecting on the recent West Virginia Disaster where 29 miners lost their lives and the 11 workers who lost their lives in the oil rig explosion off the Louisiana coast.

Observing a moment of silent reflection for the workers killed and injured in New Hampshire on the job in 2009.
