Training
NH COSH offers training and referrals to workers throughout New Hampshire. Our presentations encourage workers to discuss real-life problems with workplace safety and health, as well as other aspects of worker rights.
New
Youth Workplace Safety Training (See Brochure.)
NH COSH has a new presentation to offer high school teachers, youth ministry leaders, and community service organizations for youth/teens that are entering the workforce. The training covers subjects like how to recognize unsafe working conditions, worker’s rights, what to do if your are injured on the job, and more. It is the intent of NH COSH to provide young workers with the tools they will need to make informed choices while working so they will have a long and healthy career.
NH COSH has received a grant from the National COSH Network to do this training therefore there is no cost involved. Our trainers are available to do 1 1/2 to 2 hours training presentations with a number of handouts. We are available for high schools, youth groups, and community service organizations. Union Workers
Organized workers can take advantage of an extra layer of protection. Collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and job actions can be the strongest tools available to assure safe working conditions.
NH COSH can tailor-make training for your local, whether your members need job-specific safety information, training on workers' compensation, or information about how the local can fight for safer work places.

Adult Basic Education
Many low-literacy workers have hazardous, low-wage jobs. NH COSH offers presentations on workplace safety and worker rights at no charge to Adult Basic Education and GED students.
Indoor Air Quality
NH COSH has over 10 year's experience assisting public schools with indoor air quality (IAQ). We helped the US EPA pioneer it's "Tool for Schools" IAQ program in New Hampshire.

Workers' Compensation
NH COSH offers presentations to teach workers about their rights under workers' compensation.
Why? Every year, nearly 50.000 workers are hurt on the job in New Hampshire. Although eligible for workers' compensation to pay medical bills and provide income while out of work, many workers do not actually receive these benefits. Contact Us for a workshop on workers' compensation rights.

Hazardous Waste and Disaster Response Training
In collaboration with The New England Consortium (TNEC), NH COSH offers specialized training to workers who respond to hazardous waste emergencies, clean up hazardous waste sites, and respond to disasters.
TNEC provides dynamic hands-on, participatory health and safety training. With simulated work tasks and mock incidents, students gain a better understanding of work site hazards and how to properly respond in an emergency situation. In addition to open enrollment classes, TNEC can custom design training to address the specific client needs.
